Ranthambore is one of the biggest national parks located at Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. Being around 130 kms. away from Jaipur, the national park is a convenient travel for wildlife enthusiasts from pink city. Situated midst to the Aravali and Vindhya hills, Ranthambore National Park shares it border with Mansingh Sanctuary and the Kaila Devi Sanctuary.
The Ranthambore National Park has got its name from Ranthambore Fort which is situated inside the national park. Besides, the famous Ranthambore Fort is recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Once the famous hunting ground for Maharaja of Rajasthan, Ranthambore National Park is one of preferred spot for birdwatching as it boasts of having more than 250 bird’s species. Moreover, the national park is known for high number of Royal Bengal tiger.
The best time to visit the national park is from October to June as this time is considered suitable for sighting Tiger and other wildlife. Whereas the national park remains close from 1st July to 30th September for travelers.
